In the aftermath of the virus many who had been infected changed, but only slightly. The next generation of children, however, were changed forever. Many gained animalistic attributes and, in years to come, many grew into powerful nations, despising the humans they now forgot they once were. The humans in return hated them back and wars were fought and borders were drawn, currently there was peace but the borders were heavily guarded.
Rachel and Rain's children grew up and lived for a time as rulers of a small nation but were eventually conquered and made slaves and servants to the kingdom that surpassed them. Four hundred years after the virus was released many things have changed but much remains the same.
